Sona Hovsepyan is a freelance journalist based in Yerevan, Armenia. She writes about human rights and politics in the South Caucasus. Her work has been featured in Meduza, Novaya Gazeta Europe, RFE/RL, Chai Khana, and many other publications. Some of her pieces cover the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, human rights issues, and Armenia’s foreign policy. She worked as a staff reporter for the Armenian local TV channel Factor TV, gaining professional experience there from 2022 to 2023. She is also a graduate of the Armenian investigative school Hetq Media Factory and a former fellow at the regional media outlet Chai Khana. Sona spent three months at the Tbilisi-based Media Development Foundation as an intern from Armenia. Currently, she is in her fourth year at Armenian State Pedagogical University, majoring in journalism.
